Wildacres Christmas Tree(s)

Christmas is such a wonderful time of year. I've always loved the sparkle, twinkle and the warm feeling of spending time with family and friends. Knowing how much I loved to decorate my home and my Christmas tree, over the years many of my dear friends have spoiled me with some very special - and at times very goofy - ornaments. This led to my putting up a second, smaller tree to display the ornament overflow, which then led to a 'golf' tree and then to a 'kitchen' tree, and well, you get the picture!

Here are our two 'big' trees. Our live tree is just beautiful! We chose the second tree we looked at. (the first was too large to carry, so I was over-ruled!) It is such lovely shades of green and smells wonderful. Even though there are about a gazillion lights on it, so far needle droppage is minimal! This tree holds mostly traditional ornaments and some really old glass balls that were given to my Grandmother in 1900.
The 'Food Bank' tree (on the left) is artificial, but looks very realistic. (no, really!) This tree sprung from a tradition started years ago when I asked everyone attending my annual Open House party to bring something as a donation. It just looks so festive and warms up the dining room. This year everyone was especially generous and it took many trips to get everything out to the car. We are very blessed to have great friends and loving family around us and that they are all so generous and willing to help those less fortunate.
