Yesterday we hosted a 60th birthday party for Tricia Cooper, Katy's friend for many, many years. There were 19 of us, Tricia's friends and four generations of her family. Everyone enjoyed a fabulous meal that Katy orchestrated. A great time was had by all!Today, it was such a beautiful, cool November day that we took an extended walk up Candlewood Mountain Road - there are several old, restored homesteads and a 175 year old inn that's now a 600 acre horse farm.

Indeed it was a great time! Katy is a terrific hostess - everyone raved about the food. It made my transition to this new decade very pleasant!
