Jack, Katy and Mike headed back to NJ on Friday morning after a very enjoyable five days celebrating the holidays in New Milford. After a stop in Mt. Arlington for Jack to get settled back in his own place we headed north to Apalachin NY to visit Jon and Jess. We had a terrific dinner at the Plantation House on Friday night. On Saturday we drove up to Ithaca. We window shopped on the pedestrian mall and explored job possibilities at the downtown Starbuck's. Next we spent a few hours driving along Lake Cayuga stopping at three wineries. Of course, we needed to bring back some souvenirs so we headed back to Apalachin with some fine examples of Finger Lakes wines. The new HDTV that Santa brought and Jon and Jess's comfortable living room provided the perfect setting to watch the Giants - Patriots game; a surprisingly good game and a thoroughly enjoyable evening. We attended church on Sunday morning and took this picture just before we headed back to Connecticut after lunch. It's so much fun to spend time with Jon and Jess and terrific to see the wonderful way in which they're starting their life out together.
