We had lattes in sidewalk cafes, ate at a 'few' restaurants: a truly tres bon, swanky French Restaurant, the Russian "Troika" for frozen vodka and caviar , a cute little Brazilian place for caipirinha cocktails and a Thai meal of shrimp with peanut sauce - yum yum, yum!
So you're wondering: all they did was eat?! No, we found time between meals to attend Sunday Mass at Notre Dame Basilica where we heard a glorious choir complete with pipe-organ accompaniment. Just a breathtaking church. From there we went to see a play (yes, in English!), visited a few art galleries and rode the Metro downtown.

Oh, also in the non-food category: we visited two cigar bars, and as you can see, Mike enjoyed himself thoroughly! He did a 'tasting' of fine Scotch whiskey with the 15-year old winning out.
Even though the train ride fell through, it was a great mini-vacation and we plan to return for a visit in warmer weather. Vacances merveilleuses!
Mike is off to Hilton Head to play golf and Josie and I are enjoying the blessings of daffodil sprouts and robins in the yard. Oh, and the WILD TURKEYS are back in more than full force - photos to come ...
