The FRIENDS of the library hosted a Volunteer Appreciation brunch on August 23rd and presented the library with $10,000, profits from our Annual July book sale - what a great feeling of accomplishment! Next on the FOL agenda: a booth at the October Pumpkin Festival on the town Green where we will raffle off books and begin our Annual Fall Fund Drive.
Katy is also now serving on the library building expansion commission. This begins the second attempt in 3 years to bring an affordable plan to the Town Council for a much needed library expansion. Those of you who are familiar with our home library know that we're 'all about books' at Wildacres, so it's only fitting that we are part of FRIENDS, a wonderful and giving group of volunteers.
