This collage shows some of the beauties in our garden: a monarch on the butterfly bush, the lovely morning glories, a honey bee drenched in nectar and the colorful black-eyed susans.
We've celebrated Katy's birthday with a birthday weekend. Friday night we went to see the New Britain Rock Cats play the Trenton Thunder with our friends Mike and Katie (no kidding). A beautiful evening and a great game - the Rock Cats broke a 7-7 tie in the botton of the ninth with a game-winning double. Saturday we played golf at Fairview Farms; had lots of fun and didn't play too badly.
Today we've celebrated by having a very lazy morning and afternoon. It's about 3 pm and we're headed out for a Sunday drive through the country that is Litchfield County and then we'll stop at one of our favorite restaurants for dinner with some good friends. That'll be it; we'll be laboring on Labor Day.
